St. Joris: from characteristic building to four-star city hotel
Last month, Hotel St. Joris in Middelburg officially opened its doors. After countless trucks full of beautiful furniture, the moment was finally there, and how proud we are of the final result!
Situated in a fantastic location in the heart of monumental Middelburg stands Hotel St. Joris. The striking building has been there since 1582 and is veined with history. On top of the building shines the restored Sint Joris on horseback, covered in gold leaf.
Historic with a modern twist
The historic character is still evident as soon as you enter the hotel. In the lobby and breakfast lounge, the imposing curved beams stand out and make you feel as if you’ve stepped back in time. The property’s many nooks, crannies and peculiarities give it a unique atmosphere. The rooms are decorated with striking wallpaper with prints of birds or historical paintings with a slightly different spin. Always colourful and respectful of the history of the building, but with a modern twist.
