The national monument Timmerfabriek in Vlissingen has been transformed into a unique Urban Leisure Hotel. A great deal of history has already come to pass in this very first concrete building in the Netherlands. This is the place where the finest ships were fitted out with wooden hulls and furniture to sail the world’s oceans.

The Timmerfabriek is a building with character where old and new come together. The rough beams and large windows were deliberately left exposed. These authentic features form the basis of the robust industrial interior.
The rich history of the Timmerfabriek is palpable throughout the hotel. The warm colours, such as terracotta and dark green, perfectly match the weathered wood and add to the hotel’s unique atmosphere. Every detail has been thought through, from the graphic details in the carpet and pillows to the bedding. These different styles come together to create a unique whole and give the interior a surprising effect. This makes staying at the Timmerfabriek an extraordinary experience for everyone!
