Tucked away in the woods at the Stortemelk camping grounds on the island of Vlieland are 25 unique wooden forest cabins. Cabins where you can get away from it all. Away from the city, in the middle of nature.

Small in size

Big on comfort

The cabins specially designed for this forest are relatively small, but equipped with every comfort. This is fully in line with the vision on sustainability. . For instance, the toilet is flushed with ‘grey water’, cooking is done electrically and heating is provided by pellet heaters.

The beautiful surroundings have been incorporated into the interiors. It is characterised by natural materials and warm colours, perfectly accentuated by the large windows. And for early risers, the sunrise here is fantastic. All of the forest cabins have a spacious outdoor terrace that is equipped with a sturdy table and benches made of wood from the forests of the Netherlands. This is where ‘forest dwellers’ enjoy nature to the fullest!
